Do you LOL on your blog?
Just a little question that I was wondering recently. When I started blogging, I was told that there is no “LOL”. I asked what if the post made me laugh? Then what?
So, this brought me to wonder, are there any of you that write LOL or ROFL in your postings? Obviously, the answer is clear about my blog. I just did it, twice.
Another question, is it unprofessional to
or
in postings? It’s my personal blog and I can do whatever I want, but I wanted more opinions on it.
What do you think?

I don’t see anything wrong with using
and
or LOL on a blog. I might even throw in a WTF if it strikes me.
I don’t have time for stuffed shirts. It’s my blog and I’ll do what I want.

Donovan, same here. I smile in real life and I write like I talk

I think it depends on what your goal is. I use it all the time in comments, but if you were writing a professional post entitled, “10 Ways To Repair Your Marriage”, it wouldn’t be a good idea.
That said, I would write the above and drop the F bomb about five times, so it depends on your audience.

Bloggrrl, I definitely agree there, since I’m not blogging about rocket science, I figured we’re good to go to LOL or
I like your blog, it’s pretty nifty and hilarious

I use smilies, but generally don’t use LOL or WTF. Largely becuase I’m quite verbose, and text speak annoys me.
