Dabbling in the affiliate business
Lately, I’ve been giving it a go with an online affiliate idea. I won’t release the idea to the public just yet, but I will be documenting my progress here, in case you were wondering.
I’ve gotten a new domain and have signed up with several affiliate programs targeted to what I’m attempting to sell online. So far, I haven’t heard anything back from the programs, but it can take a couple of days, from what I understand.
Ebay also has an affiliate program if you are looking to sell anything that’s in the inventory of items that’s being sold through them. How nifty is that?
Basically, I’ve spent ten dollars for the domain name. Everything else is free so far.
A big thank you to Donovan for the ideas and the many MANY helpful hints!

It’s all about traffic. Affiliate programs work well, but they require a lot of traffic.

I’ve been selling affiliate products on various site for a few months now.
Being an affiliate for Ebay sucks unless your niche is something expensive. Commission rate sucks.
If you can get a lot of Ebay sign ups it works out pretty good though. $25 per lead isn’t bad at all. =D
