Since I have an audience

I may as well use this blog for what it really is….a personal blog. And I figured with the recent influx of comments (maybe not influx, but it’s good to know I’m not talking to myself), that I’d see what everyone is up to.

So, what are you up to? Are you trying to make money online? Are you chilling with the kids, playing Guitar Hero 2, biding your time until Christmas to bust out GH3? Talk to me, I wanna know.

Anything on your mind? I’ll tell you why I haven’t been blogging here so much, if at all lately. I have taken on some blogging jobs to try to make some extra cash so that I can quit my real job.

There’s of course Earsucker, my music blog. It doesn’t make a gazillion trillion brazillion dollars yet, but maybe someday….. Then there’s Star Offenders, which is a strong competitor for Earsucker, traffic-wise. Both blogs together brought in over 60k pageviews last month. So you can imagine that I have my hands full with those two.

Other than that, I have taken on a celebrity blogging job that pays per post. I can’t disclose the website name, but it’s a cool blog with a really nice design. Being the stats junkie that I am, I don’t have access to the amount of pageviews for this particular blog. That’s the only thing I would change for that job, though.

There’s also Newblogger, which I’ve been meaning to post about how much I’ve made from blogging last month. That site got it’s first review recently. Ten bucks is still ten bucks, right?

What have you been up to?

I know that this is an affiliate site, but wouldn’t it be fun to call someone and mask your phone number and change your voice?

Where’s my girls at? (and boys, too)

I recently redesigned the way that my celebrity gossip blog, Tragicomical, looks. I’ve done it in pink stars and was happy to mold Copyblogger’s three column theme to my liking.

So I need honest opinions. Since this is a site that I have full control of and can change anything, what could be improved? Or, what do you like about it? Dislikes? Too pink? Too girly?

Here’s a screenshot:

Digg me for a PR3 backlink

Posted on September 9th, 2007 in Ramblings | 10 Comments »

If you like music like I do, then you’ll love what’s heating up over at the 2007 Video Music Awards.

For this occasion, I’ve put in a Digg for my story on Kanye West and Britney Spears. Anyone who diggs the story, will get a PR3 backlink from Earsucker. The links will be in a special thank you post to my music loving friends.

Here’s the story:

Digg it!

Comment here if you’ve dugg it and I’ll include you on the list. Thank you!

Hope your holiday weekend is great!

I just wanted to tell all of you that I hope you’re having a great Labor Day weekend.

I didn’t do anything today, but my dream job: Blog for a living. I laid out some posts over at ICYDK, Earsucker, and Tragicomical. I wish that blogging would be something that I could do as a real job. Maybe one day. Maybe I just don’t know what it takes to actually make it in the blogging world.

I know that connecting and putting rockin’ posts out there is a definite plus. I’m just not sure how people enter the internet with a simple niche targeted blog and make thousands. I have niches, too! (Okay, I’m off on a tangent now.)

Well, I did make 63 cents in adsense today. So, I am making money online! Woohoo! lol

I’m rambling. Enjoy the rest of the day off!

Good morning from Savannah!

We got here yesterday afternoon at around 6:00pm. It’s a cute little place, but it’s hot in the afternoons. It’s not as muggy as Florida, but it’s just as friendly.

Steve is outside right now, helping his grandmother with the yardwork and I’m inside where it’s cool because I’m not used to that kind of heat. We went for a walk a little bit ago and saw the new houses that they’re building down here on Wilmington island. They are very nice, but I’m sure they’re expensive, too.

We’re planning to leave tomorrow morning sometime for Cleveland. We’ve got another long drive ahead of us. It should be another 12 to 14 hours for the trip home.

Last night, we went to this place called Carey Hilliards for dinner. It was good food, but the waiter offered us dessert before we had our food.

This hotness does indeed make you love the air conditioning inside.

It’s hot right now and I don’t envy those guys outside right now. It’s muggy and it makes you thank God for air conditioning…

Hello again…from sunny Florida!

We rolled into sunny and hot hot HOT Largo, Florida, last night at around 1:00AM. Good lord, it’s muggy here…it really makes you appreciate the air conditioning!

We plan to hit the beach sometime today. It’s so pretty here and there are palm trees everywhere. We are staying with a really good friend of mine down here. We still need to stop and get my mom a Florida magnet.

It’s 90 degrees down here now and it’s seriously hot. We’re happy to get a good night’s sleep!

We drove for about eight and a half hours to get here from Atlanta. We got stopped for quite a bit in Atlanta, due to the heavy rain. And a big ‘thank you’ to that SUV guy who sloshed rain all over my car so I couldn’t see for a hot minute…the dork!

Back later!

Hello from Hotlanta!

We finally rolled into Georgia last night at around 10:30pm. That was a heck of a drive, all the way from Ohio. I’ve come to find that I still don’t care for Kentucky, no matter how nice the people are, and that Tennessee traffic is horrendous at rush hour. We waded through a 20 minute traffic jam that seemed like forever.

Here are the numbers from the trip:
We stopped 3 times to have a bite to eat
We gassed up once before leaving & once on the way (1 & 1/2 tank trip…not too shabby)
We saw a ton of cops
3 or 4 people pulled over (not us, yay)
1 accident (the guy driving was okay, his car, not so much)
1 traffic delay
1 Chick-fil-a (Cleveland needs one of these, it’s rockin’)
We drove through 2 states to get to Georgia (Kentucky & Tennessee)
700 miles
1 picture (we’re going to take more for your viewing pleasure shortly)
0 cups of coffee for me
5th floor hotel room (did I mention I’m afraid of heights?)

Be back later on, they’re serving breakfast downstairs….

I haven’t been hiding

Hello again!

I see that even though I haven’t posted in a few days or so, that the traffic on this site has not died down. That is definitely pretty cool.

Rather than bore you with the details of my everyday life, I opted to not blog for the simple reason that I really just had nothing to say. I’d rather not say anything, than to put up a post that has no real value or meaning.

I’m sure you can respect that. In the meantime, we’re getting ready to go to Georgia, my foot still hurts, and I got a new phone! So there you have it, now we’re all updated.

What have you been up to?
